## Tracking Your Results

### After Publication

When your ad is marked complete:

1. Check your analytics
2. Review traffic from the CTA link
3. Track conversions

### Using UTM Parameters

Track results by adding UTM parameters to your CTA URL:

```
https://yoursite.com/landing?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter_name
```

This lets you identify traffic from each newsletter.

### Metrics to Track

| Metric              | What It Shows                    |
| ------------------- | -------------------------------- |
| **Clicks** | How many people clicked your CTA |
| **Conversions**     | Sign-ups, purchases, etc.        |
| **Traffic quality** | Time on site, bounce rate |
| **ROI** | Return on your ad spend |

## Managing Multiple Bookings

If you have multiple bookings:

1. View all in **My Bookings**

3. Changes depend on their availability

## Booking from Campaigns

### Campaign Application Approved

When a newsletter applies to your campaign and you approve:

1. A booking is created
2. You may need to provide creative assets
3. Payment is processed
4. Standard booking flow continues

### Multiple Campaign Bookings

If you approve multiple applications:

* Each is a separate booking
* Track all in **My Bookings**
* Manage as individual bookings

## CPL Bookings

### How CPL Bookings Differ

CPL (Cost Per Lead) bookings have a different workflow from fixed-rate bookings:

1. **Max payout escrowed** — When you approve a CPL application, the max payout amount is charged and held in escrow
2. **Lead capture active** — After the newsletter publishes your ad, a branded lead capture page collects leads
3. **4-day collection window** — Leads are counted for 4 days after the newsletter post is published
4. **Actual payout calculated** — Your final cost is `leads × cost per lead`, capped at the max payout

### Viewing Leads

For CPL bookings, the booking detail page shows:

| Information       | Description                        |
| ----------------- | ---------------------------------- |
| **CPL Rate** | The cost per lead for this booking |
| **Total Leads** | Number of leads captured so far |
| **Earned Amount** | Current calculated payout |
| **Max Payout** | Maximum the newsletter can earn |
| **Leads Table** | Individual lead details |

### Exporting Leads

You can export all leads for a CPL booking as a CSV file:

1. Go to the booking detail page
2. Click the **Export CSV** button in the Leads section
3. The CSV includes name, email, phone, and custom field responses

## Common Questions

### When will I know if my ad was published?

The booking is automatically marked as complete after the scheduled publication date. You'll see the status change and may receive a notification.

### Can I get a refund if the ad doesn't perform well?

Performance isn't guaranteed. Refunds are typically only for non-delivery or significant issues. Review the platform's refund policy.

### How long does a booking stay in "Pending Payment"?

If you don't complete payment, the booking may expire. Return promptly to avoid losing your selected date.

### Can I book the same newsletter again?

Yes! If you had a positive experience, book again or reach out about ongoing partnerships.

### What if the newsletter owner doesn't publish my ad?

Contact them via messaging first. If issues aren't resolved, contact platform support.

### How do I know which newsletters perform best?

Track results using UTM parameters. Compare metrics across bookings to identify top performers.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://adly-news.gitbook.io/adly.news-docs/03-businesses/05-managing-bookings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
