Browsing Campaigns

Campaigns are advertising opportunities created by businesses. Instead of you waiting for businesses to find you, campaigns let you proactively apply to advertise for businesses looking for newsletters like yours.

Understanding Campaigns

A campaign is a business's request for newsletter advertising. Campaigns include:

  • Campaign title and description

  • The business creating the campaign

  • Date range when ads should run

  • Payment details (fixed amount or negotiable)

  • Description of their ideal newsletter

Think of campaigns as job postings — businesses post what they need, and newsletters apply if they're a good fit.

Tips for Successful Applications

Match Your Audience

Businesses describe their ideal newsletter. Apply when:

  • Your audience demographics align

  • Your newsletter niche matches their product/service

  • Your engagement rates are strong

Write a Compelling Message

Your application message should:

  • Explain why your audience is perfect for their campaign

  • Highlight relevant metrics (subscriber count, open rate)

  • Show you understand their goals

  • Be professional and concise

Good example:

"Our newsletter reaches 15,000 marketing professionals with a 45% open rate. We cover topics directly related to your SaaS product, and our audience actively engages with tool recommendations. We'd love to feature your campaign in our primary sponsor spot."

Avoid:

"I have a newsletter and want to work with you."

Propose Competitive Rates

If the payment is negotiable:

  • Research fair rates for your newsletter size

  • Consider the value you provide

  • Don't underprice yourself, but be realistic

Apply Promptly

Good campaigns attract multiple applications:

  • Apply early when you find a good match

  • Check campaigns regularly for new opportunities

  • Don't wait — good opportunities may fill quickly

Finding the Right Campaigns

Look for Alignment

Best campaigns for you have:

  • Target audience matching your subscribers

  • Reasonable payment for your newsletter size

  • Date ranges that work with your schedule

  • Products/services your audience would appreciate

Consider Long-term Value

Some campaigns might lead to:

  • Repeat bookings with the same business

  • Referrals to other advertisers

  • Building your portfolio of successful campaigns

Know When to Pass

Skip campaigns that:

  • Don't match your audience at all

  • Offer payment below your minimum

  • Have unrealistic requirements

  • Conflict with existing bookings

Contact platform support if you need to withdraw an application before it's reviewed.

How quickly do businesses respond?

Response times vary. Some businesses review applications daily, others weekly. You'll be notified when there's a decision.
